ADVANCE YOUR ASANA (Begins Sept. 6)
Every First Friday of the Month: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM (60 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
Being an advanced yogi doesn’t mean always doing the hardest version of every pose and pushing past the body’s limitations. An advanced yogi does know how to listen to the body, and realizes that asana (or yoga posture) is merely a tool for connection and wisdom.
This class is designed for yogis that want to take their asana practice to the next level. Expect a class that includes arm balances, inversions, and/ or deeper hip & shoulder openers. Well-planned sequencing will prepare your body for these postures, and instruction will focus on learning how to access these shapes in your own body. Explore the subtle energies at work in our bodies that allow us to find balance between effort and ease in more challenging postures. Leave your ego at the door, but don't forget to bring an open mind.
CANDLELIGHT RESTORATIVE + REIKI (Begins Aug. 22)
Thursdays: 7 PM - 8 PM (60 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
Led by Certified Yoga Therapist and Reiki Practitioner, Kirsten Higgins.
Treat yourself to a truly relaxing experience.
In this 60 minute class, you will relax into about 6 different restorative stretches. While in a very mild stretch, you will be guided towards total relaxation of all muscles, as if you fell asleep in the pose. The benefit: You stretch the layers of fascia (or connective tissue) as well as tight muscles. Your nervous system relaxes so your muscles can soften, providing relief from over-use, fatigue and pain.
Bonus: Throughout the class, Kirsten will give “mini” Reiki treatments on all students that anonymously opt in.
Reiki is a light-touch, non-invasive Japanese energy healing technique.
Wednesdays: 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM (75 minutes) with Jenna Csont
Pause and unwind from the busy week and relax your mind and body with this deeply rejuvenating candlelit yoga class. Jenna will adjust to the needs of the class, but you can expect to move gently with your breath (vinyasa yoga), then practice some longer holds and deeper stretches (yin or restorative yoga).
Guided meditation and breathwork (pranayama) will be included in the class to give you a well-rounded, relaxing practice. You will increase your flexibility, reduce stress, and boost immunity in this 75-minute long, relaxing class. All levels are welcome!
CHAIR YOGA (Begins Aug. 22)
Thursdays: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (60 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
Practice yoga in a chair and receive the same benefits as a “traditional” class--without needing to get up and down from the floor (which isn’t for everyone--and that’s ok!) Yoga helps to improve strength, flexibility, balance and posture, as well as relieve stress and improve quality of sleep. You will be guided by a Certified Yoga Therapist and experienced teacher of chair yoga.
Yoga is for everybody. You certainly don’t need to twist into a pretzel or stand on your head to be a yogi. If you can breathe, you can do yoga!
GUIDED STRETCH & MEDITATION (Begins Sept. 4)
Wednesdays: 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM (45 minutes) with Tonna Reinhold
Come as you are in “regular” clothes - no yoga pants or mat needed. We’ll awaken the body with light stretches to open up the chest and relax the neck and shoulders before moving into a guided meditation that may incorporate essential oils (optional) specifically selected to boost energy, encourage relaxation, or enhance mood.
The last 15 minutes of class will be reserved for questions and discussion of the meditation technique, so there is freedom to leave at 1:30pm if your schedule requires.
No meditation experience necessary.
GUIDED MEDITATION & STRETCH (Begins Sept. 6)

We’ll awaken the body with light stretches to open up the chest and relax the neck and shoulders before moving into a guided meditation that incorporates essential oils specifically selected to boost energy. HATHA / VINYASA YOGA
Thursdays: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM (60 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
Hatha yoga is a general term for the physical practice of yoga, but in a traditional hatha class, there are slightly longer holds with a focus on physical alignment and a mixture of strength and flexibility work. "Ha" means "sun," and "Tha" is moon. The goal of hatha yoga is to create balance in the body (or, to balance the "sun" and "moon" energies in the body).
In a vinyasa yoga practice, you will move with your breath, or "flow" with your breath. This warms the muscles before longer holds and deeper stretches. Vinyasa can also be considered a form of meditation-in-motion.
Hatha/vinyasa is simply a mixture of the above two styles. You will learn pose alignment but also experience more dynamic movement with breath.
Beginners, and ALL levels are welcome! Options are offered to make the practice accessible for all bodies.
LUNCH HOUR DEEP RELAXATION (YOGA NIDA) (Begins Aug. 15)
Thursdays: 12:05 PM (45 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
No “yoga clothes” needed for this class--come as you are!
A few brief, simple stretches at the beginning of class will prepare your body to lie down and relax comfortably. Then, you will be guided into a state of deep relaxation, or “yogic sleep” (Yoga Nidra), that has many health benefits.
Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down on the floor, usually with additions like blankets, bolsters, or eye pillows to be as comfortable as possible. The goal of this extended guided meditation is to remain conscious while the body moves into a deep state of relaxation and healing for mind and body. Re-boot your nervous system. Awake from this ‘yogic sleep’ refreshed & rejuvenated.
LUNCH HOUR HATHA YOGA (Begins Aug. 13)
Tuesdays: 12:05 PM - 12:50 PM (45 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
Short on time & need to get back to work within the hour? No problem. This 45 minute class is perfect for you!
‘Ha’: Sun, ‘Tha’: Moon. Hatha Yoga is a general term for the physical practice of yoga, which is meant to create balance in the physical body-- such as the balance between night at day.
Expect active stretches, strength-building postures, and deeper stretches to increase flexibility, all with longer holds and a focus on alignment. Return back to work focused, relaxed and balanced.
All levels are welcome. Bring or wear clothing that allows for movement. Changing room located inside of the studio.
LUNCH HOUR PILATES
Wednesdays: 12:05 PM - 12:50 PM (45 minutes) with Tonna Reinhold
Pilates is designed to integrate the core (abdominal, back, side, and hip muscles) as each exercise increases strength through a full range of motion. It focuses the mind and challenges coordination.
All levels are welcome. Bring or wear clothing that allows for movement. Changing room located inside of the studio.
PHILOSOPHY, PRANAYAMA + MEDITATION (Begins Sept. 14)
Every 2nd Saturday of the Month: 9:45 AM - 10: 45 AM (60 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
No yoga pants required - come as you are!
Often, when we hear “yoga,” we think it refers only to asana/ yoga postures. In this monthly special class, explore the other 7 Limbs of the 8-Limbed Path of Yoga.
In each class, learn about and contemplate an aspect of Yoga Philosophy, such as one of the Yamas or Niyamas (guidelines/ ethics for living a yogic life), one the Kleshas (afflictions that cause humans suffering), or one of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Along with the philosophical theme for the month, learn and practice 1-2 pranayama (breath control) techniques, and 1-2 meditation techniques.
After guided and silent practice, have the opportunity to ask questions or troubleshoot the technique(s). Discover the full breadth of yogic wisdom!
POWER FLOW + SOUND HEALING MEDITATION (Begins Sept. 3)
Tuesdays: 7:45 PM - 9 PM (75 min) with Kirsten Higgins
A vinyasa-flow class with sequencing that builds prana (energy) through movement during the first 45 minutes, then grounds energy using yin or restorative yoga.
Suitable for yoga practitioners that like to move; 'Experienced beginners’, intermediate, and advanced-level students will all be challenged appropriately and options will be offered.
The grand finale: 15 minutes of relaxation enhanced by live Tibetan singing bowls.
The Tibetan singing bowls help slow down brain waves from the fast Beta state to the slower, calmer Alpha state. More experienced meditators may experience the Theta state, where deep healing and subconscious shifts can occur.
With just the right balance of challenge and relaxation, you will work toward greater flexibility, stress-release, and centering.
SIVANANDA YOGA (Begins Sept. 7)
Sundays: 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM (90 minutes) with Liz Mandeville / Gopi Saraswati
Sivananda Yoga is based on vedantic teaching that traces its history back thousands of years and reveals yoga to be training for your mind, body and spirit, a unifying, healing lifestyle choice. Based on the ancient Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Sivananda Yoga incorporates the healing vibration of Sanskrit mantra, the stress busting benefits of controlled breathing (Pranayama), and the body loving elixir of mindful, meditative, held posture (Asana). In a safe, inclusive space, where all levels and body types are welcome, come discover your birthright of inner peace and well-being.
Here’s what you can expect in a traditional Sivananda yoga 90 minute class:
A guided relaxation to focus your awareness.
Sanskrit Mantra chanting to harmonize our vibrations and tune your biosphere: You don’t need to know Sanskrit to benefit from it. You can simply listen or join in if you wish.
Two pranayamas to build your energy and create internal harmony.
A series of movements that warm up the entire body preparing for the Asana practice.
12 classical Asanas, paying attention to our breath and alignment: Asanas give you strength, balance, tone and flexibility. Modifications are offered for multiple levels.
Final relaxation to balance your nervous system, and final Sanskrit Mantra for health.
STRENGTH + CORE YOGA
Fridays: 10 AM - 10:50 AM (50 minutes) with Erica Bray
Yoga isn't just stretching. For your body to function optimally, you must be in balance: both flexible and strong. Your "core” does not only include your abdominal muscles, but also your side, back and hip muscles; or in other words, your "core" is the center of the body's universe. In this class, you will build strength in these core stabilizer muscles, prevent injury and improve posture.
Beginners to yoga are welcome!! This is not an “advanced” class, although do expect a challenge! The only prerequisite is that you can get up and down from the floor. If you have any injuries or chronic conditions, please inform the instructor at the beginning of class.
VINYASA FLOW YOGA
Wednesdays: 2 PM - 3 PM (60 minutes) with Catherine Gruschow
Vinyasa simply means "to move with breath." You will build strength, flexibility & balance while flowing with your breath--a meditation in motion. Expect more than to "work out" here, but to also "work in."
All levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
VINYSA FLOW YOGA FOR ENERGY
Mondays: 12:05 PM - 12:50 PM (45 minutes) with Catherine Gruschow

YOGA + FITNESS FUSION
Saturdays: 8:00 AM (75 minutes) with Kirsten Higgins
Receive the benefits of a well-rounded yoga class combined with traditional strength training and functional movement exercises. A “traditional’ yoga practice is meant to bring balance to the body, but when yoga asana (postures) are overdone, it can lead to imbalances due to the over-representation of hip/ hamstring flexibility and pushing movements. To create balance, this class will incorporate strength for hips, pulling exercises, and core strength. Expect the use of bands or other equipment. However, this is no boot camp: the “heart” of a yoga practice will remain. The environment is a safe space where people of all levels of experience will be welcomed and everyone will be encouraged to honor their own fitness journey. Options will be offered for multiple levels. Wind-down with 20 minutes of deep stretching and guided relaxation.
Taught by Certified Yoga Therapist and Certified Personal Trainer, Kirsten Higgins
